Accountant & Bookkeeping Services
For clients who require it, we will provide a bookkeeping service to record all business transactions and, if necessary, to account for PAYE and VAT. The accounts needed by a business will depend on whether it is a sole trader, partnership or limited company. A sole trader or partnership must prepare accounts for the HMRC if annual turnover is more than 15,000. Whatever the size of your business we can prepare accounts in a form acceptable to the HMRC.
Once the accounts have been prepared, we will prepare the required tax computation from the accounts; and submit the accounts and computation to the HMRC. We ensure that with fully trained accountants, there will never be any errors when submitting tax returns and your business will always pay the correct amount of money without worries of penalties.
Certain types of professional partnership, such as solicitors, have additional requirements imposed by their professional bodies. We can prepare accounts for all types of partnership, including those of professional firms. Partners are required to submit individual as well as a partnership tax return. Each partner will be separately responsible for the payment of their own tax liability.
We will prepare the required tax computations for each partner from the accounts and submit the accounts and computations to the HMRC.
For a limited company the directors are responsible for:
Ensuring that the company keeps accounts which comply with the Companies Act; Preparing accounts which give a true and fair view and which otherwise comply with the requirements of the Act Filing the accounts with the Registrar of Companies within the time limits specified by the Act. The provisions of the Companies Act are complicated. If directors do not comply with their responsibilities under the Act they can be subject to personal penalties.
We can advise directors of their responsibilities and help them meet them by assisting in the preparation and filing of their company's accounts.
